Weekly Market Comment – April 1st 2019
The last week of the first quarter finished on a high with Equity markets performing strongly as they continue to look past signs of an economic slowdown. This has been the story of the first quarter of 2019, strong equity markets which have been buoyed by central bank support and hope that any economic slowdown will prove to be short lived. The market has also not reacted negatively to continuing geopolitical noise in the form of possible delays to a US-China trade deal and the delay to “Brexit”. Financial markets have successfully climbed the wall of worry that emerged through the second half of last year.
