Weekly Market Comment – June 10th 2019
Markets advanced last week as Central Banks (the FED and the ECB) made accommodating statements. The S&P 500 had its best week of the year. The data during the week was mixed, with US private payrolls growing at the smallest amount in nine years, but investors were happy to shrug it off as the possibility of rate cuts increased. Fed Chairman Powell commented that they would “act as appropriate to sustain the expansion.
